Rene Caisse's tonic tea

There is no doubt in my mind that, should I receive the news that I had cancer, this would be my first port of call. I would drink this tea daily from then on and for the rest of my life. My dad has researched it and has agreed to take it, so I have now made the tea, added some healing magick, and am stocking it in the shop.

Essiac was the invention of Nurse Rene Caisse (the blend given her surname reversed). It was developed way back in the 1920’s. She made it from herbs she could grow herself or were easily available around where she lived. Made from 4 very specific organic herbs in very specific amounts, it has been tried and tested over the years by many many people and deemed helpful and in some cases miraculous. As a nurse with her own clinic, she adapted her formula to the person always working alongside a Doctor, but always from the original formula. It was always in herb form and never tincture – tincture form would be so easy for me to do but, in this instance, I am sticking to the origianl format. It can help and support the body to fight the cancer and even to cope with chemo and radiotherapy too so has to be a useful support whatever road you have taken for your fight. It can even help with surgery as it can help the surgeon be able to remove the cancer more cleanly and we all know that Cancer doesn’t like to be cut. It is the bindweed of the body – even if your remove it all but leave the slightest bit of root, it will come back more vigourously and take over everything it penetrates!!

I have made the formula into 1oz monthly amounts for one person (£5) and you yourself make up the decoction for the month and store it in glass bottles in a cool, dark place (fridge for the bottle in use). To take nightly at bedtime, you mix 30ml decoction in 60ml hot water and sip as tea. In acute circumstances for just one week in four, this mix can be taken twice daily. These doses should never be exceeded as it will have an adverse affect. This isn’t a case of doubling the dose because twice as much will help in half the time…wrong!! 15ml at bedtime in 60ml can be taken as a tonic tea for 3 weeks in four (like Echinacea) to help the body deal with other health issues… Books are available on the subject if you want to read more so ask instore but this would be my 1^st stop.

Another point to make here: you are making the tea yourself and being precise in how, when and why, so you are helping yourself to be in control & not a victim of this disease! That has to be a positive step in the right direction in my book both physically and mentally…
