Couple of things re herbal supplements. Firstly, when getting herbal remedies, please ensure you notify the vendor of any medication you are on, any surgery due, whether pregnant or lactating or whether you have any serious illness. Herbal remedies are very strong and not to be taken lightly. For example, people think if they are depressed, taking Prozac and St John’s Wort will help them get better sooner. Wrong! They fight with each other and neither does you any good. Talk about complementary therapies you are taking to your doctor or GP as well and get any info from the local clinics within the surgery. These things can help when worked together, though I realise not all doctors accept complementary therapies – maybe we are just lucky up here.
