Tinctures are the most potent way of taking herbs. The herbs are macerated in a mixture of alcohol and water, to extract all their medicinal properties, and the alcohol content ensures their lasting qualities as well as extracting the properties that are not soluble in water. The tinctures are then generally taken in drop form, diluted in water and taken internally up to 3 times daily unless otherwise stated. For such problems are eczema, cold sores, varicose veins and other skin problems, they can be diluted and applied topically to apply the remedy from the outside as well as the inside.

**Some of the tinctures are now available organically but not all are, as some are wild harvested anyway and cannot possibly be grown organically - however, if you would like any particular one in organic form, please do contact me and I will see what I can do!!
